This pump has a plastic housing that is not designed to function under high pressure. Plastic housings can become brittle over time, and crack when the nozzle is closed - this pump could fail while you are using it!
This pump has an aluminum housing, but cast iron parts inside (impellers and/or volutes). Cast Iron parts will rust and at the very least will stain your pool deck brown; even worse, without proper maintenance, rust can bind to the housing and internally seize the pump. this pump might not start when you need it!
